Back to the People (Part I)

Written by Guest Blogger Drew Best

Are we all rubes in some way or has the mindset in our beloved land dwindled to the level of dumb beasts? For five years now, we've been struggling with invisible enemys, and projections of doom from every facet of our mainstream media, to the likes of which only "Jimmy the Greek" could have never predicted. This has been a disappointing year for our Fiend of a President, and I wish him many more years disappointment and frustration as his name gets kicked around and trash in the history books, as "the guy who blew it". As this year comes to a close, I cannot find any reason to celebrate any changes in our national character. The Americans People have been savagely burned by the very institutions which were created to do otherwise. It was humiliating for all those good patriotic Americans, who actually believed the "white lies" and misrepresentations given by our friends at Haliburton and Pennsylvania Avenue.

Yes, Donald Rumsfeld and Co., lied to the American People. They knew that the majority were all rubes, who needed any stretch of good news, to keep up with their oil addiction. "The war is going smoothly", "we're winning the hearts and minds of the Iraqi People". The only "shock & awe" that I saw, was how fast Rumsfeld "cut and ran" not even 24 hours after the Democrats savagely mauled the Republicans in the Midterm Congressional Elections. He smelled lists of indictments forming up for January, when the Democrats take control. He was the first on the list. His bungling and mismanagement of our military is near criminal, and he deserves eons of jail time. The war in Iraq, will go down in history as the biggest line of bullshit told in Western politics, since the Crusades.

Rumsfeld owes the families of slain GI's, "Old Europe" and the rest of the International Community a sincere apology, for his ruthless spate of torture, rape & murder. Such arrogant incompetence of this magnitude has not been seen, since the reigns of both Caligula and Nero, or Custer's doomed offensive at Little Big Horn. He, Dick Cheney and the rest of that abomination of an Administration brought out the worst in the American Character. The fact that any of the buffoons would question the moral integrity of any Citizen who would question thier bungling makes one hot around the collar.

Earlier, I mentioned the word "misrepresentation", and Great Jesus, we had a Helluva lot of 'EM over the past 66 months. Besides the weapons of mass destructions spiel and "they hate our freedom", there is one malicious rumor that I'd like to clear up. Now, if you never see or hear from me again, please remember these words. The President is not the Commander and Chief of the American people. He is only commander and chief of the armed forces and other people in uniform. I've heard rubes and right-wing pundits use this sort of gibberish on a daily basis and use the media as their bully pulpit, but the president is not leader of the people in this country. Maybe in Russia, but not in these United States. If you don't believe me, look in the constitution, a word that this Fiend of a President loathes to hear.

Second, I keep seeing advertisments and hearing the Right-Wingers claim that "freedom is not for free". Now, only a gorilla would believe such a menacing statement. What is provided in the constitution, again a word that Bush hates, are our rights. Priviledges are not for Free, but our rights are inherited from the Founding Fathers, who I know beyond the shadow of doubt, are turning in their graves.
